About Me (Student Assignment)
For this assignment, you will draft a brief autobiography called ABOUT ME. It will become your website’s introduction to the world – your About Me page. This will require family assistance. Get help from your parents.
Before you get your own Autobiography going, check out these pages:
You will take this assignment through the entire creative process. You will begin on paper, go through a series of peer proofing/editing rounds, and redrafting on paper. When you have most of the piece written on paper, you will transfer everything to the your website as a Page.
The minimum length is 300 words. A good maximum is 500 words, but you could go longer.
Your autobiographical About Me page will be organized into separate sections/paragraphs as follows:
- Introduction
- Hook the reader (Get them on the Hook)
- Lead the reader to your Main Idea
- Transition the reader to real topic
- Deliver the Main Idea – About Me
- Body
- Early Years – Birth to 5th Grade
- In School Activities
- Academic
- Social
- Out of School Activities
- Important Life Events (such as births, deaths, achievements)
- In School Activities
- Middle Years – 6th Grade to TODAY
- In School Activities
- Academic
- Social
- Out of School Activities
- Important Life Events (such as births, deaths, achievements)
- In School Activities
- Early Years – Birth to 5th Grade
- Conclusion
- State the Main Idea differently than the way than you did in the Introduction.
- Transition the reader to Ten Years in the future
- Where I see myself in ten years . . .
- Leave the reader where you picked them up (Let them off the Hook)
