Chapter 10
Q:What does the Time Traveler conclude about mankind’s intellectual advancements? Use details and information from the chapter to support your answer.
A: The Time Traveler concludes that mankind’s intellectual advancements had committed suicide. He states ” I grieved to think how brief the dream of the human intellect had been”. Meaning he had dreaded to believe how quick the dream of it had become.
Remember the clock is an hour fast! I had it in by the due date. Thank you see you Tomorrow!
Also for Rachel From Period, I dont agree with you at all. You said it is impossible to travel in time. Yes when he wrote it Time Travel was impossible, but he was making a prediction about it for the furture years, he is thinking about if they have time travel in the future.
The quesion I chose to answer was why do you think H.G. Wells wrote this book.
I think he wrote this book for not an enertainment value at all, but a book to show us what could most likely happen to this dreadful world in the furture years of exsistance. Yes indeed you could say some of this was in an enertainment stand point, but to me the vibe of this story and why he worte it was not for that. I think he also wrote this book for a way to document theories he made about the future. What better way of putings your ideas out there then to write a book that the public will read for many years to come. Again the book did entertain me, as it probably did all of us, but from H.G. Wells stand point I think he worte it to test theories, make his predictions, and show us how the future could be. Hey he has been right about other major things and events so i’m not going to doubt him now.
mr. moshe you said i can post today because mu computer shut down on me yesterday.
Ch. 12
Why do you think thatWells doesn’t tell you what happened to the Time Traveller in the end?
I think the Time Traveller doesn’t tell us what happened in the end because I think there is going to be a sequal to the book.
I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO IM COMEING IN THE MORNING BE IN YOUR CLASS AT 8:00 BECAUSE NO ONE EXPLAINED WHAT TO DO IN A WAY THAT I CAN UNDERSTAND….
TELL THE MISSES I SAID HELLO=)
WELL I WAS A LITTLE CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT TO DO SO IM REALLY JUST GUESSING RIGHT NOW…
WHY DO YOU THINK THE AUTHER DOSENT TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENDS AT THE END OF THE BOOK?
WELLS DOSENT TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENDS AT THE END OF THE BOOK BECAUSE,IT MAKES THE BOOK MORE INTERESTING. IT LEAVES YOU WOUDERING.SO YOU CAN SORT OF MAKE UP THE REST OF THE STORY ON YOUR OWN. YOU CAN END IT HOW YOU WANT.HE DOES IT BECAUSE, NO ONE CAN BE DISAPOINTED FROM THE ENDING BECAUSE IT ENDS HOW EVER YOU PERCEIVE IT.
mr. moshe i spent like an hour on the internet looking for a website that will accept reviews for the time machine and i only found amazon.com and u have to of bought a book frm there to put a review on so im lost and i dont know what to do :[
Why did Wells write the book?
Wells wrote this book because the Time Traveller went on a journey to the future and Wells wanted to explain what he did and what happened. For example, The Time Traveller meets a girl named Weena, and they fall in love, but then she disappears and he presumes she is dead.
Why do you think that Wells doesn’t tell you what happened to the Time Traveler in the end?
Wells doesn’t tell you what happenes to the time traveler because he wants to leave you thinking. He wants you to think about what can happened to the time traveler
2. Why did Wells write the book?
I’m not sure if this answers the question..but I think that the purpose for him to write the book was because..maybe he has been thinking about the future and about the 4th dimension…like a theory he has had for a while and he just wants it out there…or maybe he is just imagining what it would be like to time travel and he just came up with this new world on his own…for entertainment..
I hope it’s good enough.
I think that H.G. Wells made the book with a mystery at the end so that he could make a sequal and profit even more from his books.
Chapter ten
Question-What does the Time Traveler conclude about Mankind’s intellectual advancements?
Answer- The Time Traveler concludes that mankind has done this to itself. That Mankind has committed suicide. Mankind continued to make advancements to make itself feel secure and better and did not realize that it would, one day, result in the end of the human race and/or all of mankind itself.
SORRY I SPELLED MY NAME BACKWARDS!
I agree with amanda Per 2. I think that wells does have an big imagination and i do think that he just wrote based on what he thought the future would be like. He sure did have a good prediction because we are getting more lazy everyday, I just don’t think we will become so bad that we will lose all our smarts because everyday we come out with a new invention.
Q:Why do you think that wells doesn’t tell you what happened to the Time Trveller in the end?
A: I think the reason why the author did that is because he wanted to leave the reader wondering what happened to him. I also think he did that because he wanted the reader to pick up the sequal( if there is one) and read it to see if it explains what happened to the Time Traveller.
I think Jeanna was right about the Time Traveller trying to keep us guessing. I completly agree
I agree with Sebastian per.5, i also think that Wells wrote the book to make us think about the future.
Chapter X
Question-What does the Time Traveler conclude about Mankind’s intellectual advancements?
Answer- The Time Traveler concludes that mankind has done this to itself. That Mankind has committed suicide. Mankind continued to make advancements to make itself feel secure and better and did not realize that it would, one day, result in the end of the human race and/or all of mankind itself.
fara u might be right but im not sure mr.moshe what do you think i commented about the question: why did wells write the time machine…
~question~
-Why do you think that Wells doesn’t tell you what happened to the Time Traveller in the end?
~answer~
-Because he wanted it to be a mystery. He wanted you to be left thinking at the end of the story.
Wells didn’t tell us what happened to the time traveller at the end so he could try to keep us guessing. He wanted us to come up with our own crazy future for the time traveller just like how he wrote the book, crazy. Thats why he did it like that.
I think wells didnt let the readers know what happened to time traveller in the end because i believe he wanted to leave us guessing and thinking. a good author always leaves his readers guessing. he wanted us to use our imaginations and our minds and picture where he went, or even what happened
The reason why I thimk that Wells didn’t tell the readers what happenend to the time traveller at the end of the story is that he wanted the readers to keep guessing what would of happened next.
I agree with Nia P-6 because he said that the human intellect had committed suicide
i agree with sarah in 5th hour because shes tottaly right wells is writing this book as if he has been in the future and hes preticting which comes first and last .
why did wells write the book?
well im thinking that wells wrote this book is because he has a big imagination. and he thinks about the future alot. and maybe 1 day he predicts this will happen 1 day.
What does the Time Traveller conclude about mankind’s intellectual advancements? Use details and information from the chapter to support your answer.
The time traveller concluded that with time everything got easier since there were no diseases and no wars. It was practically peacefull until nighttime hit. There were barely any types of machinery besides in the underworld. The morlocks and the Eloi didnt really have a mind either.
Chantelle , I found a copy of the book at Barnes and Nobles and the Target at sawgrass had the book too.
Mr.Moshe, I Wasn’t sure on whether to post the top questions or the bottom four so ill just do both….
2. Why did Well’s write the book?
I thinks Wells wrote this book to entertain the reader. He gave his point of view of how it might be like in the future. He probably also wrote it to inform us about what might happen in the future if we dont stop extinction of animals and not having people go there own seperate ways but to compromise in our differences or we might end up like the morlocks and the Elios, which mostly wouldn’t happen to us, but mainly, Wells is entertaining us with The Time Machine and giving the readers a vivid picture of this make-believe interesting future world. Who knows, maybe one day someone will invent a time machine.
i FEEL THAT RACHEL MADE A GOOD POiNT AND i AGREE WiTH HER ANSWER 100%.

Answer:
What the Time Traveller comcludes about mankind’s intellectual advancements is that the dream of human intellect had been brief, for it had “committed suicide”. In the chapter he mentioned,”Its the law of nature that we overlook, that intellectual versalitily is the compensation of change, danger, and trouble.
Q: Why did Well’s write this book?
A: I think Well’s wrote this book to obviously entertain us because we all know that it’s impossible to travle in time. Also I think he wrote it to show us that no matter what we do to try to prevent bad things to happen, the world will never be a perfect, happy place.
CHAPTER XII
—————-
Q: Why do you think that Well’s doesn’t tell you what happened to the Time Traveler in the end?
A: I think Well’s doesn’t tell you what happened to the Time Traveler in the end because he wants to keep you guessing and wondering. Also he wants to have you think “Where did the Time Traveler go in time?” And perhaps maybe he wont come back. Who knows? I totally agree with Rebecca; A good book does keep you guessing
