After each segment, we wrote small pieces to help us assimilate and grow from the inofrmation we got.
Here is the follow up assignment for Segment 2:
IMAGINE . . . you are holding an international meeting of world leaders on how to promote racial and ethnic understanding and harmony. DEVELOP 5 specific steps world leaders could take to prevent further atrocities like the Holocaust.
This must be written in your notebooks, but you could DOUBLE your grade if you post it to this discussion.
I have 5 specific steps I would like to share with you guy tonight to prevent further atrocities like the holocaust.
My first step is that make sure that in your country people have food, shelter, and medication.
My second step is that make sure that whoever is running for president or trying to be a leader of a political party you do a background check and public should know everything about the person before the make that person a leader.
My third step is that study the past and see how it happened and if it happens again we would know how to stop it.
My Fourth step is that we have to let people know that it happened and the survivors are old so any day they go die and like 5 years later like one person would remember that the holocaust. We need to pass it down generation to generation.
My fifth step is that like if some French people live in Germany and some Germans don’t like French people and they go around where they live and shop and they burn down their home and break the windows where they shop and stuff and other Germans who don’t mind the French should try to stop the Germans who don’t like the French.
Also the Germans weren’t the only people responsible for the holocaust. The whole world was because when the allies heard about it they didn’t try to help. They put down every plan to rescue the Jews. Not one country did anything to help and because of that six million Jews died because of that.
