a presidents job is a very important job because a president is
the one who leads our country. because if a bad president was to be chosen then that would affect us alot. but if a good president is chosen then things would be more in control and more organized. i also know that in order to be a president you must be a national born citizen, you must be at least 35 years old, and you must have to live in the us for at least 14 years.

“Established in 1834, the Whig Party was a reaction to the authoritarian policies of Andrew Jackson. “King Andrew,” as his critics labeled him, had enraged his political opponents by his actions regarding the Bank of the United States, Native Americans, the Supreme Court and his use of presidential war powers. The term Whig was taken from English politics, the name of a faction that opposed royal tyranny.” Read more at The Whig Party

The president is the man in charge of anyhing that happens with any of the branches of government, so to speak. He has less power than you would expect, but he can do more than any U.S. citizen.
Adding on to my recent comment, one president for example was president Herbert Hoover. He barley had any control of his country and he led us into the Great Depression.
