I was wacthing a documentary on the diffirent holocuast camps and the different types of punishments they were giving to these innocent people. its actually not at all punishment because all of these people are innocent, and a punshment is given to the guilty. sometimes the nazi’s would wrap a person in chains, and use acrow bar to tighten the chains around the person. this causes alot of damage to the already weakend bones. the soldiers would leave cigarette burns on peoples skin. they would bust kids heads open. at one point they would stick up to 500 kids in a one room house and seal all of the windows up and doors waiting for them to die. Thats very wicked.
I learned from research that there are some people that deny that the holocaust ever existed. Some people think that the Holocaust was just some big propaganda stunt by the world, but they are just stupid enough to belive that there were not people who died during the holocaust. Im suprised they can be so naieve
During the Holocaust, when they got sent to the concentration camps, thy had to get numbers tattooed on their arms so that they would be called by their numbes and not their names. Neither Adolf Hitler nor Franklin Roosevelt lived to see the end of World War II and the Holocaust. It ended on January 17, when they were evacuated from Auschwitz. At that point, they just had to wait until they could rebuild everything, and baically start over. Even though the scars and hopeless memories with always be tattooed on their hearts.
The tattoo system was only used at Auschwitz Concentration Camp, “During the Holocaust, concentration camp prisoners received tattoos only at one location, the Auschwitz concentration camp complex, which consisted of Auschwitz I (Main Camp), Auschwitz II (Auschwitz-Birkenau), and Auschwitz III (Monowitz and the subcamps).” (http://www.ushmm.org/wlc/en/article.php?ModuleId=10007056)
After researching about the Holocaust i founf out that holocaust means sacrafice by fire. i also found out that Germany thought that Germans were racially superior and that Jews deemed inferior and that they were a alien threat the German race. It was said that not only the Jews were a target due to there racial inferiory Gypsies and the disabled Jehovah witnesess and homosexuals.
I watched the movie on the diary of anne frank, and i found some interesting things that happened to anne frank’s faimly whiale living in hiding. One of the things was, was that Margot(anne’s sister) was sent a letter concerning a labor camp that she would have to go to, and it said to bring a maximum weight of 110lbs of things to carry to the labor camps. That’s when they went into hiding. And the place they hid was in Otto frank’s (anne’s father) company house. But there were three stages to the “final soloution” of hitler’s reign. First, they hired a secret military group to go in and kill off the jews by killing them with guns or knives for whatever they needed to do, but the killing hurt the men’s mental state so they went to the seccond step. Next, they would round up the jews and put them into a van and put a plug at the end of the gas pipe so the carbon dioxide would stay in the van and slowly kill the jews. But that took too long and wasn’t efficent enough. So the final step was Concentration camps. and what they would do is, is tell them there going to get a disenfecting bath and would burn them with gasses.
I found out that during the holocaust the jews that were sent to the concentration camps and they had a serial number tattoo on their arm and the same number was also sewn on their clothes.
I found out that the Nazis would tattoo the jews that were sent to consentration camps with some serial numbers
I researched about the Medical Research project at the time of the Holocaust. The Nazis were doing these projects and experimenting them on humans against their will. Seven thousand were being experimented. There were around 200 doctors involved at the concentration camps. There were three classes of experiments. The first class dealt with survival and rescue, the second involved with battle injuries, and the third was racial experiements including dwarfs and twins and serological research.
According to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum website, the Holocaust was the systematic killing of approximately 6 million Jews (and 200,000 gypsies, and at least 200,000 mentally or physically disabled ) by the Nazi regime. It was an attempt by Hitler and the Nazis to eliminate the ‘lesser’ Jews and usher in an era of superiority.
The Nazi party was cruel and unusual punishment and nobody should have went through that type of pain.It takes a lot of courage to stand up to them.I really dont know what to say but this is all I can think of.
I did research on the Anne Frank Center. It is a partner organization of the Anne Frank House. It uses the diary to advance her legacy, and to educate kids about the consequences of intolerance, racism and discrimination, to inspire the next generation to build a world based on mutual respect. The Center fulfills its mission through the North American Traveling Exhibition Program, the Exhibition and Education Center in New York City, the Annual Spirit of Anne Frank Awards, and through the development of educational materials and programs for teachers and students.
I decided to research Sing with Me: “Never Again!”. In that passage David Draiman (the lead singer of the hard-rock band Disturbed) explained why he wrote a song about Holocaust denial and antisemitism. Antisemitism is the intense dislike for and prejudice against Jewish people. In his song it says “A generation that was persecuted endlessly
Exterminated by the Nazi war machine
We will remember, let the story be told
To realize how we lost our humanity
You dare to tell me that there never was a Holocaust
You think that history will leave the memory lost”
refers to how some people try to deny that the Holocaust ever happened. In the article he refers to how both his grandparents on his mothers side survived the camps his grandfather was on wheelbarrow duty in Bergen-Belsen. It was his job to cart bodies to the crematorium. His grandmother was a little girl in Auschwitz. She was lucky enough to survive being in line to the gas chamber on three separate occasions. Since she was a little girl, the others in line would let her crawl underneath their legs to the back of the line on three separate times, and after the third time the camp was liberated. David said”And I look at my grandmother, who still has the tattoo on her left forearm, and I realize that an entire generation, the last generation of people who are living who can say “This actually happened to me,” are about to be lost to us. And I just wanted to do something that let it be known that this is something that was real, something that happened, and it not only affected the Jewish people, it affected many people, but it’s certainly something that shouldn’t be forgotten.” And he’s right, the Holocaust should never be forgotten because then history could repeat itself.

That’s right! You did an incredible job here making it real. Deanna, I commend you!
I chose to research and read in the Holocaust Camps. I then discovered Maidanek. This concentration camp was similar, but slightly different from the rest of the camps. For example: Jews were known to be killed in these camps, but not only Jews were murdered. Non-Jewish people were persecuted as well. The people running the camps used various types of chemicals gases to harm and kill Jews. Many innocent wonderful people were murdered. The only remains of them were their shoes. In the gases chambers and all around the camps were their shoes. The shoes were built as a wall and in many troughs. I feel that what the Nazi did was wrong, and I would like to visit this very concentration camp one day.
I researched the story about the reality behind the movie, “In Darkness”. It’s based off of this true story about a man and his family hiding Jews in the sewer. We read the book last year in language arts too, it was mainly focused on Krystyna (or “the girl in the green sweater”). Having background information on this topic made me feel more connected to this story. Living in a sewage for a long period of time seems impossible to me. If there were more men like that of the one who saved this family, I garuantee more Jews would have been alive today.
i researched abotu the holocaust and found out information like during the holocasut the jews would often hide for protection instead of fighting back but in some cases they did. lots of jews were dying at the time including 1.1 million kids and approximately 100,000 Jews died during death marches. i also found out that hitler constructed concentration camps to kill jews and make jews work because he blammed them for the loss of world war 1. and just because he didnt like jews and wanted to decrease the amount of jews.
