While I will keep you all associated with my site over the Summer months, I have released the requirement that I must approve all of your posts, pages and comments. YOU  are in complete control & management of your site. If you have items that still say “PENDING”, it’s a digital lie at this point. You can publish whatever you want to publish now.

This means that you MUST  manage it all on your own. Remember, this is NOT a social Networking Platform (Google+, Twitter, Snapfish, Tumblr, Instagram, Facebook, etc.). This is serious business. This is for school. Keep the social stuff on your social platform. Keep the drama off the site. Use the Edublogs Site for your intellectual and creative development.

Here are some of my suggestions:

  1. PUBLICIZE your site. Make sure search engines can index your site. You WANT to be found. Under READING SETTINGS, copy these settings . . . .

  1. Posts – Save drafts as needed. Only publish items that are proofed for clarity. If you publish something that has foolish mistakes in it, then guess what. You will look like a fool. Present yourself as you want to be perceived. You want to be seen as a responsible informed young adult? Then be one. You want to have a position on issues young adults confront on a daily basis. At the same time, you want to be getting informed on what you will have to deal with in the near future. Now get this, every moment that goes by brings you closer to the near future. Read about the world, read the news, watch the news (not FOX though). Post your reflections. This is real life. You are really alive, and you can make a difference. It’s true!!!! The NEAR FUTURE is constantly becoming the NOW, SO keep getting informed.
  2. Pages – Save drafts as needed. Be very critical of yourself when deciding what needs to be easily accessible on your site. Remember to update your About Me Page periodically – I’d say about every 3 months while you’re in school. And continue to use your Reading Journal Page. If you never created one, I don’t think there are more than 3 of you, then make one. It will be extremely valuable when it comes to recording your thoughts for any kind of reading, viewing, or listening.
  3. MOST IMPORTANTLY Comments – MODERATE them all. Do not allow any comments on your site that you don’t want there. You could run into legal issues if you allow comments to be automatically posted to your posts and pages. MODERATE EVERYTHING. Here’s How. Check out the screen shot. Under SETTINGS, select DISCUSSION . . . Set it up as you see here . . .

OK. Now. GO!!!!!!
