Max is convinced he doesnt have a brain becuase he is not a good reader and he is in special classes. His assesment of himslef as a butthead is incorrect, although if he keeps thinking that, that is how people will see him. He has a lot of potential of being a cool person, but he doesnt flaunt any of his good qualities. How you carry yourself and act is deffinatly how people will see you. This all comes down to the saying ” you cant judge a book by its cover.” Personally, I feel that others opinions of us DO affect how we feel about ourselves. When things are said about me, I begin to think how and where people are getting that information from.

Max is convinced that he doesn’t have a brain because he’s in an L.D. reading class and because he doesn’t know a lot. His assessment as a butthead is correct because he isn’t very bright and sometimes he does bad things. Sometimes our opinions of ourselves affect what others think of us because you are, or at least try to be, who you think you are. Which in turn makes other people think what you think of yourself. Most of the time other’s opinions do affect how we feel about ourselves, depending on who say it. If someone says your ugly, dumb, smart, or nice you’ll believe them and think you’re that way. But if it’s from someone who always says lies you won’t believe them and nothing will change.
