Throughout this week we will be going through our annual Winter Formative Assessment (WFA) Reflections. This is a tedious yet extremely rewarding undertaking. I expect great things to come from this.

Here’s how it works.

You will review the entire test by the objectives tested. We are reviewing all the items that tested 6.01, then all the items that tested 4.01, then 3.01 ,2.01 ,5.01 , and finally 4.02.

By the end of the entire process, each student will have interacted with the whole test, one objective and question item at a time, and every correct answer.

You will converse with each other, myself, and most importantly yourselves about how to identify what is being tested by a question, how to find correct answers, what skills are necessary to find them, and if you got answers wrong – how to avoid making the mistakes you made the first time the next time you are confronted with the same type of question.

This is an EOG busting strategy. After going through this process, you will be able to identify what objective is being tested by any given question provided the question stems we go over from the WFA are echoed in some way on the EOG.
