Smoking is NOT Cool!!
Check these out, then post your attitude. Time for some honesty. People who smoke are usually pressured into it initially, and then they becoem addicted to it.
Be considerate with your comments. If you know someone who smokes (aprent, grand parent, friends). Consider their feelings. Don’t judge them, but offer help when you can. Do your research about ways you can help.

I agree with Thel on the fact that some people may just want to try it. But i also did a little research and found that if you have the Prothrombin 20210 Mutation (Factor II Mutation) you are more likely to get blood clots, leading to stroke or heart attack. If you smoke you can increase your chance of getting a clot, and clots can kill you depending on where you get them. Smoking is never a good thing, whether its to try it, get a break from work, or get high because you WILL get addicicted and it CAN kill you.

So, if you don’t know, and you SMOKE . . . then you are risking the chance of getting a blod clot and as follows possible certain death from skoking. Are you willing to take that gamble?
Don’t risk it. Your much too valuable to us. Get informed about everything. And vote (if your informed).
I think smoking is a bad habit and should not be don in the first place. Many people worldwide lose their love one, friends family, etc. due to smoking. Smoking will result in lung cancer and other types of cancers and illnesses. Some people are smoke because they are either pressured or just curious. If I remember this correctly. My grandpa died from cancer due to smoking and I never got to met him in person. I think the best way to tell someone to stop smoking, is to tell them to stop smoking.
Alot of people just smoke to smoke but eventually it becomes a habbit. Some are pressured into it but some just try it and become addicted. Either way smoking isn’t a very good habbit and should not be addapted as something in everyday life.
Smoking takes lives away from millions and millions of people all over the world. The causes vary from a simple, ” I just wanted to try it” to “My friends told me that it was fun, after I tried it once, I couldn’t stop.” Cancer is a well known result of smoking and the symptoms cannnot be fixed. Once smoking has ahold of a person’s life, it stays there. Some people say that they can’t live without smoking because they take relieve all of the pain and stress that the outside world has in store. In reality, the smoking is a much bigger threat than just stress. The ultimate result of stress may be harder work, or possibly less sleep. The ultimate result of smoking, is death. The one thing that I would like to say to the people that want to try smoking, or even those who are alreay addicted to the murderer of smoking would be that people love you. Some form of love is in your life and that love does NOT want to see you suffer from the endless pain and torture that smoking can give you. There is no turning back from smoking and once death has come, life has ended. Loved ones want you to succeed and triumph over the blockade that is preventing such great heights. Smoking is not worth any of your time, money, health, or love. If you think no one loves you and doesn’t want to see you suffer, then I don’t want to see you smoke. I do care about another human life that is just as important as any other life on this planet. Please do not smoke.

good and that it can mess up your life. there are many reaseons why people choose to smoke. lots of times it could be because they are frustruated and they want to calm down by smoking or maybe because they were pressured to and they thought since alot of people smoke its cool. but they may think its ok and alright but later on the consequences will be terrible.
The ways people can help there friends and love ones quit smoking is by making a poster and help convince them that it is bad to smoke and it could kill the if they smoke long enough. They are not addicted to the cigarette its self but the nicotine that is in it. I as a person have known someone who smoked but i helped my mom stop and smoking and i feel that i did a good deed and i am happy that she stopped. :] Tony
I think that people who smoke aren’t always pressured into it. Some of my friends smoke and they just wanted to try it. They do not smoke cigarettes, so there is not any nicotine. They just smoke to get…., high. As of the addiction? I do not think that they are addicted, just feel like having a good time. Or doing something to keep them from being bored. On the other hand, I have some friends that were pressured into smoking because his firend came over, and asked him to. I am not completely sure if the friend called him any names if he said no the first time, or if he just said yes and left it at that. What i am sure of is that he told me I should try it one day. I politely turned him down. I dont ever want to smoke. And it is not just because of the advertisements that smoking is bad either. I just want my friends to compare themselves to me, and think of why they do what they do. I want people to know that I do not smoke, and that I am proud of the fact. I think that it is a very good accomplishment when you do not smoke. The rate of kids on middle school smoking, is about 30 percent. That is 30 percent too much. Over 50 percent of middle schoolers are pressured to smoke, or have friends who smoke. I think that smoking is bad. I dont mind if you do smoke, just do not do it around me. Taking a stand against smoking is very important. To me anyways. ,:0)
